100th Coastguard Vehicle with Pressfab EVO
Reaching 100 vehicles delivered to HM Coastguard is a great milestone for Pressfab EVO. Each one, fitted with Standby UK systems, supports search and rescue teams working in tough conditions around the UK coast.
This collaboration highlights how the right vehicle setup can make a real difference day to day.
HM Coastguard coordinates search and rescue across the UK coastline, responding to incidents at sea, on cliffs and along the shore.
Teams are often working in difficult weather and environments, so having reliable vehicles with the right kit on board is essential.
Pressfab EVO has been working with the Coastguard for over 25 years, converting base vehicles into operational units built around specific roles.
Over time, that relationship has grown into a close working partnership, with a shared focus on improving how the vehicles support the teams using them.

Hitting the 100-vehicle mark reflects both the strength of the relationship and a well-established build process. Working closely with HM Coastguard, EVO has developed standard specs for different roles, helping keep builds consistent and efficient.
It also makes it easier to carry out upgrades later, so vehicles can stay in service longer and keep up with changing needs.
Designing for Coastguard use is all about balance. There’s a lot of equipment to fit in, but space and weight are always limited.
Everything also needs to be simple to use, especially in high-pressure situations. And above all, it has to be reliable – these vehicles are often used in harsh coastal conditions where failure isn’t an option.
That’s where the integration of Standby UK systems comes in, helping ensure strong visibility and dependable performance.
Each vehicle uses a fully integrated setup from Standby UK, covering control systems, warning lighting and scene lighting.
At the centre is the MCS-NX16 Control Unit with siren, supported by controls in both the cab and rear so everything is easy to operate wherever the team is working.
Warning comes from a mix of the Raiden Lightbar, Stealth Reg Plate, Edge Dagger Modules and a Titan Dash Light up front, with Mini Stealth units adding visibility around the sides and rear.
For working on scene, Slimline Scene Lamps light up the area around the vehicle, while Pop-n-Lock units activate when the rear doors open. Inside, Slimline LED Interior Strip Lights keep the load space clear and usable.
It’s a simple, integrated system that works when it’s needed.
As Coastguard operations evolve, so do the demands on the vehicles. EVO continues to work closely with the team to understand what’s changing and where improvements can be made.
That ongoing collaboration helps make sure future builds stay practical, relevant and ready for whatever’s next.
Reaching 100 vehicles isn’t just a number – it’s a reflection of a long-term partnership supporting critical, life-saving work.
Between Pressfab EVO’s build expertise and Standby UK’s technology, HM Coastguard teams have vehicles they can rely on when it matters most.
