Standby UK is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our sales team as a Regional Technical Sales Manager, supporting customers across Scotland, North-West England, North-East England, and Yorkshire.

This permanent, full-time, field-based position is ideal for a motivated and commercially driven individual with experience in technical sales who is looking to build strong industry relationships and deliver tailored solutions within specialist vehicle safety and warning systems.

About the Role

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager (UK & Ireland), the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and managing customer relationships across a wide range of sectors, including vehicle conversion companies, emergency services fleets, highways organisations, commercial vehicle builders, road rescue and recovery operators, and airports.

The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, supporting customers with solution-based proposals, and acting as a vital link between Sales and Standby UK’s Technical and After Sales teams. Responsibilities include customer visits, product demonstrations, project development, sales forecasting, and market intelligence gathering to support long-term, sustainable growth.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a minimum of three years’ sales experience within an industrial or technical environment, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills. A strong ability to build relationships, understand customer requirements, and deliver value-driven solutions is essential, as is the willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Candidates should also possess solid IT skills (Microsoft Office), a structured approach to planning and reporting, and sufficient technical understanding to confidently discuss product applications and benefits.
