Job Vacancy – Workshop Operative – Auto Electrical

Standby UK is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our growing production team as a Workshop Operative – Auto Electrical at our UK Head Office in Cannock.

This permanent, full-time position is ideal for a skilled and dependable individual with hands-on experience in auto electrical systems who is looking to contribute to the assembly and testing of specialist equipment used in emergency vehicle installations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in assembling, wiring, and testing emergency lighting and control systems in line with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. This is a practical, workshop-based role requiring strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have proven experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or a similar environment, along with strong technical understanding, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to teamwork and quality workmanship. A working knowledge of health and safety practices within an auto electrical setting is essential.

Desirable (but not essential) skills include experience with control panel assembly, industrial automation systems, and familiarity with ISO9001 / ISO14001 standards.
