We’re Hiring: Technical Team Leader

Standby UK is seeking an experienced Technical Team Leader to manage and support our Technical Department, including the Pre- and After-Sales Support and Training team.

This key leadership position plays an important role within the company’s Leadership Team, helping to deliver high-quality technical solutions and ensuring the continued development of our products and services across the UK, Republic of Ireland and wider Standby Group locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a skilled technical team to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • Oversee product and systems development, with a particular focus on vehicle CAN and electrical integration.

  • Support pre- and post-sales activities, including technical training and customer support.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across Sales, Operations and Finance to ensure alignment and delivery within agreed budgets.

  • Promote technical excellence, process improvement and adherence to quality standards.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a proven leader with experience managing technical teams, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong background in vehicle systems or a related engineering field.
A minimum Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) is required, along with excellent communication skills and a commitment to Standby UK’s values of customer focus, teamwork, trust, respect and passion for winning.

The role is based at our Cannock, Staffordshire offices, with some off-site work.
