Coast to Coast Cycle for Myeloma UK
Standby UK is proud to support Auto Electrical Workshop Operative Lee Beaumont as he prepares to take on the Coast to Coast Cycle challenge from Whitehaven to Tynemouth from 26–28 June 2026, raising vital funds for Myeloma UK.
The demanding challenge will see Lee cycle 137 miles over three days, tackling more than 11,200 feet of steep climbs along one of the UK’s most iconic cycling routes. Inspired by the impact that myeloma has had on close family and friends, Lee is undertaking the ride following National Myeloma Week to help raise awareness and support the charity’s work.

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dedicated exclusively to myeloma, an incurable blood cancer. Through pioneering research, improved treatments and patient support, the charity is helping people live longer and better lives while working towards finding a cure.
Lee’s challenge will test both endurance and determination, but he hopes the miles and climbs will help make a real difference for those affected by the disease. Every donation will contribute towards vital research and support services for patients and their families.
Standby UK is proud of Lee’s commitment and wishes him every success as he embarks on this incredible journey. We encourage colleagues, customers and the wider community to support Lee and help Myeloma UK continue its life-changing work by visiting his Just Giving page here.
