Standby UK Donates £2,000 to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust
Standby UK has donated £2,000 to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust’s Summer Appeal, supporting vital work to protect vulnerable wildlife and restore natural habitats affected by wildfires.
Although the recent drought conditions have now eased, the impact on the natural environment continues. Areas affected by fires require ongoing restoration, while injured, displaced and vulnerable wildlife continue to need care and protection.
This donation follows the recent extreme weather which highlighted the increasingly visible impact of climate change on the UK’s natural environment. It also supports Staffordshire Wildlife Trust’s wider work to educate and inform the public about the challenges of unprecidented seasonal changes.

Based near Cannock Chase National Landscape, protecting natural habitats and wildlife is particularly important to Standby UK. We wanted our contribution to support an organisation working directly to protect the environment and wildlife in the area around us.
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust plays an important role in protecting and restoring Staffordshire’s wildlife and wild spaces, while helping people understand the environmental challenges we face and how they can make a difference.
Laura Jones, Fundraising Officer from Staffordshire Wildlife Trust said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Standby UK for their generous donation of £2,000 to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust.
“Following the latest weather warnings, the team were inspired to support our work and were particularly interested in the role Staffordshire Wildlife Trust plays in helping to educate and inform the public about the gravity of the current climate situation and the urgent need to take action.
“The impacts of climate change are becoming increasingly visible, and support like this allows us to continue protecting and restoring Staffordshire’s wildlife and wild spaces, while helping people understand the challenges we face and how we can all make a difference.
“A huge thank you again to everyone at Standby UK for your generosity and for recognising the importance of this work. Support like yours really does make a difference.”

While Standby UK works closely with emergency service and essential service organisations through the products and technology we provide, our connection to the communities around us extends beyond our day-to-day operations.
Through this donation, we’re proud to support the people working to protect Staffordshire’s natural environment and the wildlife that depends on it.
We’d like to thank Staffordshire Wildlife Trust for the important work they continue to do across the county, and for giving us the opportunity to contribute to their Summer Appeal.
