W3 Lightbar

Designed and built by the Standby Group originally for the Nordic climate, W3 is a tough, tried and tested light bar built to a very high standard for long-life usage. This aerodynamically efficient light bar design was created to reduce wind resistance to minimise vehicle fuel consumption and emissions. W3 is a highly advanced light bar connected via CAN-Bus (or via a break-out box purchased separately) providing the highest possible light performance.

Flexible construction

Flexibility is a key design feature of the W3 light bar and is fully customisable for light colours, functions and lengths. Each W3 light unit can be configured with different light emitting colours (Blue / Red / Amber / Green) and modules. Side facing work lights are included as standard, and you can choose between blue or clear lenses, or combine several colours in the same light bar. Corner and interior modules are available with one or two colours, and special spot modules provide a longer light range when required. Advanced features

W3 supports power status charge indication as standard and can be equipped with functions such as stop lights, brake lights and position lights. Other options are indicators, work lights, Police Stop rear red, traffic lights and rotating lights. The light bar is also available with day and night mode as well as cruise light for customised brightness in different situations. The bar for Emergency Services includes 6-way blue and white LEDs to the front, 6-way blue and red LEDs to the rear along with 6-way blue corner and 4-way white alley lights, resulting in superb light output through crystal clear polycarbonate lenses.

Smart control and simple integration

The light bar is controlled via CAN bus, which enables advanced control and minimises the number of cables. Our control systems communicate directly via CAN to the light bar, but with a Break Out Box it can also be connected to traditional hard-wired signals. Each light bar is supplied with 4 metres of cable or Cannon connector, and we save the configuration for future support.

Rugged and built to last

The aerodynamic design, tested in a wind tunnel, reduces noise, wind noise and the impact on fuel consumption. The aluminum chassis is robust and light weight, while the coated Polycarbonate casing protects against scratches and UV light so that the light performance is maintained over time. The result is a long service life, low environmental impact and good overall economy.

Quality and accessories

W3 is supplied with a 5-year warranty as standard. Break Out Box and roof brackets are available as accessories. W3’s coloured corner modules are ECE R65, SAE J845 Class 2 and 1 approved.
