For years, Emergency Service vehicles have relied on chaotic high-intensity flash patterns to cut through traffic and signal urgency. While essential during the response phase of a task, these same light patterns can become overwhelming once units arrive at and/or remain At-Scene.
Multiple emergency vehicles, often from different services, create an unsynchronised combination of flashes that can cause distraction to other motorists as well as confusion, and visual fatigue for both responders and the public.

Sync & Breathe introduces an intelligent, phased approach to emergency vehicle lighting – designed to support responders from the moment they’re on the move to when they’re safely established at scene. By combining GPS-synchronised response lighting with a calmer, wellbeing-focused on-scene mode, the system delivers clarity, consistency, and control at every stage of an incident.

Sync – Unified Lighting Through GPS

Enabled through the MCS-NX Next Generation Power Management and Control Unit, Sync allows Sync-equipped Emergency Vehicles using the same programme to all display the same coordinated flash pattern when responding to an incident.
The system uses GPS-controlled synchronisation to coordinate flash patterns across the fleet, meaning that regardless of service or geographical location, response vehicles use the same flash pattern in unison.
The result is a cleaner, more coherent visual presence on the road. Drivers experience a clear, uniform warning pattern, reducing misinterpretation and helping to create safer transit corridors for emergency responders.

Breathe – Calmer Light for Safer Scenes

Once responders arrive at the scene, lighting priorities shift from cutting through traffic to maintaining a safe, controlled working environment. That is where the Breathe mode steps in.
The Raiden Lightbar (Sync & Breathe enabled) transitions from a high intensity jarring response mode flash pattern to a smooth, gentle, undulating pattern designed to minimise glare and visual strain. This softer rhythm reduces overwhelm and eye fatigue for responders and public alike, establishing a more composed environment during operations.
