The Volvo Specific CARAT Switch System is a completely unique and long-awaited product that makes it possible to link and operate the vehicle OEM display via a Standby CMP Controller, used to generate a blue light GUI (graphical user interface) while the CSDS (Center Stack Display Switch) device switches the associated video source to the screen, all in conjunction with MCS control units.

The CARAT Switch System is an enhanced, multi-platform solution designed to integrate seamlessly with OEM vehicle infotainment displays, providing a clean, driver-safe GUI for discreet monitoring and control of emergency service equipment.

Compatible with Volvo’s SPA platform (60 and 90 series from 2019 and the new 40 series).
Airwave Certified, enabling Tetra radio control via the infotainment screen for improved status updates, talkgroup changes, and call management.
Custom Infotainment Screen Layouts allow fleet operators to personalise colours, text styles, symbols, button sizes, and messaging text for a tailored user experience.
The CSDS (Center Stack Display Switch) can also be used independently with third-party solutions, offering developers greater flexibility to integrate their own custom GUI with the OEM screen.
Quick Access Switching – Double-tapping the dashboard home button instantly switches to the external source view, ensuring immediate accessibility.
The GUI source is interfaced via HDMI, ensuring high-quality display performance.

The CARAT system is fully supported by Standby UK’s Technical Department and Mobile Engineers, ensuring expert assistance and seamless integration for emergency service fleets.
