Standby Sweden’s New CEO Daniel Tibell

After eight successful years as CEO of Standby Sweden, Robert Jakobsson has retired. Daniel Tibell has taken over the baton and will focus on innovation, increased customer value and strengthening Standby’s position as a market leader in the role of new CEO.
Standby Sweden thanks Robert Jakobsson for his dedication and leadership since 2016. During his time, the company has grown and taken great strides forward in innovation and market presence.
– It has been a very interesting year, where we have gone from being a pure hardware company to also becoming a software company, with a greater focus on the user. I am proud that we have created an environment where people dare to be creative. Standby is in good hands and it will be exciting to follow the company’s continued development, says Robert Jakobsson.
We now welcome Daniel Tibell, who is leaving his role as Sales and Marketing Manager at Standby Sweden to lead the company into the future.
– Thank you, it feels both exciting and honorable. Robert has laid a strong foundation and I am grateful to take over and continue developing Standby with our fantastic team.
– It will be about innovation, customer value and strengthening our position as a market leader. We must continue to be at the forefront both technically and in our collaboration with customers and partners. I want to ensure that we not only meet today’s needs but also future focus areas, especially in connected services and sustainability.
– It has given me a good understanding of our customers and the needs of the market. I bring with me relationships and a desire to find solutions that not only work but also exceed expectations. As CEO, I will work to ensure that the entire organization has the same strong focus on customer value.
– We must continue to be the best at what we do. This means that we will continue with our popular solutions within lighting, sound and control systems and try to grow in our role as a complete system supplier, with the expanded functionality and support that is then required. In addition, we want to develop more sustainable solutions, for example by offering product reuse to extend their lifespan.
– In addition to our core areas such as police, fire and ambulance, I see great potential in the Amber market, i.e. solutions for military, aviation, security and the mining industry. We also have good opportunities to grow internationally, with good backing from Standby Group where we have the muscle to take on new markets.
– Without a doubt, our innovative corporate culture and our strong team. We have short decision-making paths, high competence and a desire to develop. That mix, together with our ability to adapt to the customer’s needs, is absolutely our greatest strength. I believe in freedom with responsibility and my task is to create the right conditions for our teams.
– I am excited and we have several interesting products in the pipeline, and it will be exciting to see how these are received. In general, I look forward to developing the company further, and together with competent colleagues at Standby, continuing to create social benefit for those who use our solutions daily.
As Daniel Tibell now takes on the role of CEO, he has been replaced in the role of Sales and Marketing Manager by Mattias Andersson. Mattias brings broad experience in sales and communications and most recently comes from the company Dataväxt, where he held the role of Sales and Communications Manager for over ten years.
