CS40 Control System is a system developed for Ambulance and Rescue Services. It is designed to be user-friendly and thus easy and safe to use in traffic.
The system supplies power and handles emergency functions such as siren, blue light, high beam turn signal and a number of vehicle functions such as charge indicator, work light, reversing light, cabinet lock, etc. There are also outputs for powering additional equipment such as commuication radio, computer etc. (See list of functions / outputs below).
All functions are operated via a 5-inch touch panel (T5) and you can supplement with another T5 panel, which provides increased user possibilities. Standby P1 panel (quick button for activating the siren and blue light) can be installed near the steering wheel for increased user-friendliness in the event of an emergency.
The built-in voltage monitor switches off functions gradually depending on the voltage level so as not to deeply discharge the vehicle battery. The system supports Volvo CAN bus, which is required to be able to install in all new Volvo cars.
The system is configured using our PC based programming tool Standby Service Tool (SST).
CS40 is a robust system for critical operations where both hardware and software are developed for tough vehicle environments.
