The half-beacon Kreuzungsblitz® is used to warn road users when the vehicle is driving out of an area that is difficult to see, e.g. intersection areas where the side view of other road users is not given or restricted, gate exits, covered access routes, etc.
The half beacon enables road users to perceive emergency vehicles as quickly as possible, despite temporarily restricted visibility of the main beacon. Early awareness reduces the risk of accidents and in situations involving road users with emergency services, especially in urban traffic areas.
