When a battery runs down, an insulating layer of lead sulphate crystals forms on the battery’s cells – sulfation – diminishing the unit’s capacity. The R124 transmits high frequency voltage and current pulses through the battery at 10,000 Hz, which prevents crystals forming in its cells and restores the active materials to their original condition. Reduced battery capacity is prevented, charging times shortened and lifespan increased, without affecting the vehicle’s sensitive electronic devices.

Although the R124 can be used for old batteries in order to improve and maintain capacity, it works best, and has the greatest effect, on new units. It can be easily connected to one or more batteries and is compatible with both 12V and 24V lead models.
